Ashley Colwell, MS, is a Licensed Professional Counselor in Oklahoma. Ashley earned her Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Mid-America Christian University in 2023 and her Bachelor of Science in Communication Sciences and Disorders from Oklahoma State University in 2020. She believes every individual deserves a safe and comfortable environment to cope with life’s challenges.
Ashley completed her graduate-level internship at Restore Behavioral Health, working with children, adolescents, and young adults. She uses various therapeutic modalities tailored to each client’s specific treatment goals, including Solution-Focused Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). She has received additional training in Play Therapy, Internal Family Systems (IFS), and grief work, and has helped lead children’s anxiety groups during her internship.
Ashley has previously worked as a Pre-Kindergarten teacher and as a camp counselor, bringing warmth and creativity to her therapeutic work. She enjoys activities that help clients externalize their thoughts and problems, and practices from a faith-based or non-faith-based approach depending on each client’s preference.
Ashley’s goal is to allow every client to feel seen and heard throughout their therapy journey. She believes everyone is unique in their own story and is dedicated to assisting, encouraging, and supporting those seeking to reach their goals.
