Christy McGee, MCP, LPC, is a Licensed Professional Counselor in the State of Oklahoma. A graduate of Lindsay High School, she earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Family Psychology from East Central University and Oklahoma Baptist University, and later completed her Master’s in Counseling Psychology at Northwestern Oklahoma State University.
Christy has spent more than 18 years supporting children, teenagers, and adults across school settings, private practice, and Central Oklahoma Community Mental Health Center in Norman. Her passion is simple and steadfast: to love, support, and walk alongside people who are hurting.
She is trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Solution-Focused Therapy, and is certified in CBT-I (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Insomnia) — a highly effective, first-line treatment that addresses the root causes of chronic sleep problems by changing negative thoughts and behaviors around sleep. CBT-I often proves more effective than medication in the long term.
Christy currently provides virtual therapy only, offering clients a flexible and accessible way to prioritize their mental health within their busy schedules.
