Colin Turpin, (LPC #10183) a Licensed Professional Counselor with over a decade of experience working with moderate-to-severe mental health challenges including anxiety/OCD, trauma/PTSD, and depression/grief. His ideal clients are teenagers and adults who are ready to work to make significant progress on their life stressors. Before joining Restore, Colin was the lead therapist in an inpatient mental health hospital working with patients going through suicidality, complex trauma, and severe mental health crises. That experience has equipped him with a unique perspective in guiding people from all levels of care to places of stability and understanding.
Colin believes knowledge is power. His goal is to equip clients with skills from evidence-based practices, not passing Psychology trends. During his sessions, the CBT treatments he most often uses are Behavioral Activation, Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), and skills from Dialectical-Behavioral Therapy (DBT).
Colin is a practicing Christian with years of experience teaching within the Church, but he will absolutely respect those who don't want to integrate faith into their sessions and just want to focus on the science. His goal is to make it make sense to you, whatever your worldview!
