Filiz Sprouse, M.Ed., LPC, is a Licensed Professional Counselor in the State of Oklahoma with a Master of Education in School Counseling from the University of Central Oklahoma.
Filiz is a Turkish immigrant who moved to the United States 32 years ago. As an immigrant and former member of a military family, she takes special interest in assisting individuals and families navigating acculturation, assimilation, and the challenges that come with being first-generation. Having lived and traveled across Asia, Europe, and America and been exposed to many cultures and religions, she connects deeply with clients from diverse backgrounds. Filiz primarily uses a blend of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Therapy, EMDR, Internal Family Systems (IFS), and Mindfulness-Based Therapy, tailored to each client’s needs and goals. She has specialized training in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). Her goal is for each client to build and apply coping, communication, and interpersonal skills to navigate emotional challenges and build a life worth living. Her approach is authentic, genuine, and non-judgmental — rooted in the belief that acceptance, safety, and respect are essential to growth.
