Meleisha Dickson, MA, LPC, is a Licensed Professional Counselor who has based her practice on the theory that no two people are alike and each of us have had our own experiences which is why it is so important that each person’s therapy be individually tailored to fit their needs. Meleisha uses a client-centered approach that takes each person’s experiences into account while respecting each person’s values and belief systems. She offers a safe and comforting environment free from judgment or bias regardless of race, age, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity, or religious beliefs. Meleisha prides herself on working hard during sessions to make sure that each client feels that they are seen for who they are as well as the person that they would like to become.

Meleisha attended graduate school at Southern Nazarene University where she earned a Master of Art degree in Counseling Psychology. She previously attended the University of Central Oklahoma where she obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Human Environmental Sciences along with minors in Sociology and Spanish.

Meleisha’s previous experience has included working in community mental health in a clinical setting, working in multiple school settings, and she has also worked in a telehealth setting. She has had the privilege of working with people of all ages and backgrounds including infants and their families, young children, adolescents, college students, young adults, adults, seniors, and couples as well as having vast cultural experience working with clients from over 40 different countries around the world.

Meleisha employs multiple evidence-based therapy techniques to meet each individual’s needs which include but are not limited to Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), Narrative Therapy, Person-Centered Approach, and Motivational Interviewing (MI).

Meleisha enjoys working with all ages and genders from children to adults but has a special passion for working with women’s health issues.
